I will fade to black on graphic sex.ㅤBleed.ㅤ ㅤGiven that IC/OOC "bleed" (defined below) is quite common in the RP community, I prefer my RP partners to recognize that IC does NOT equal OOC and try to minimize bleed to the best of your ability.Bleed here is defined as "when emotions bleed over between player or character, in either direction." Bleed is experienced by a player when their thoughts and feelings are influenced by those of their character, or vice versa. With increasing bleed, the border between player and character becomes more and more transparent. The younger twin of the Coldtide trade mogul family, and voted most likely to embrace his lackadaisical spare heir attitude while his extremely capable slightly elder sister takes care of any and all actual duties the pair are tasked with.Aster cleans up well, but don't let him fool you: he's here for a good time, not a long time, and the fact that Coldtide Industries has tasked him to sample every wine that comes his way and not do any real paperwork about it is the only reason that's getting done.His pleasure and enjoyment of life always comes first and foremost, and duty second. A rich wastrel who would rather plink at his lute and read his cards than pay any kind of attention to business, he should really hope nothing ever happens to his sister, Thistle.

A sharp eye might notice that there are inconsistencies in the way that Aster presents himself.In fact there is an argument to be made that Aster is applying himself to the very singular goal of being as awful as possible in some kind of misguided, late-blooming rebellion against his extremely wealthy and well-to-do parents. Everyone else hurt is just collateral damage to him.After all, he decided to learn music, he knuckled down and became a savant. So, most events where he looks the fool seem almost...engineered to make him into as much of an asshole as possible.It's honestly a wonder that his parents haven't placed him on house arrest for the sake of their image, but he seems to walk a fine line of being exactly too useful to cut off and hide away.

Aster almost always has one of two things with him, if not both: A deck of tarot cards, and a musical instrument of some kind. Usually he'll carry something small and stringed with him, but odder instruments have been spotted on his person.As for the cards, he's a card shark when he wants to be. More often, though, he's flipping those tarot cards in front of himself like a wanna be horoscope girlie about to have dinner consisting of only alcohol.Did you see him get up and jam with a band one night? Have you heard beautiful, unexpected music, only to follow it and find some random frat boy very seriously practicing in a forgotten park? Have you seen him with his cards? Do you think it's weird? Do you wanna see this ponce try to read your fortune?

As the spare heir, Aster seems to have a sixth sense of not only how to spend as much money as possible during any given event, but also how to drink you out of house and home, seduce you, and still somehow comes off as an incompetent (albeit selfish) idiot.He's here for a good time, not a long time.Uh-oh! Were you a one night stand? He's not sorry, he'll do it again. Did you watch him upsell himself on your products? Have you sold him more than enough expensive booze to last years--and yet somehow he keeps coming back for more? Did you see him doing something reckless? Are you about to get paid off for it?

Aster the plastered disaster.

Usually, Aster is more than capable of drinking all night, walking both of you to his home, and then waking up annoyingly cheerful and early the next morning.However, some nights, it seems that he is struck by an influx of emotions, and those are the nights that people remember. Messy, disgraceful, and not all together remembered the next morning when he has to drag his carcass out of bed.Did you see him stumble his way home alone? Perhaps you saw some stray thought cross his mind before a pleasant night out became drinking in earnest? Were you embarrassed by his behavior? Did you try to match him drink for drink, and end up with no memory of the evening like he did?

Prerequisite: Having spent the night with Aster in some fashion - DM me.There is a small, locked, fireproof chest in Aster's otherwise, mostly-hotel-art-and-booze apartment. It is located in the bedroom, within easy sight of the bed, and is engraved with the simple phrase "FROM T.F."Aster will not let anyone touch it, open it, or ask about it and will get hostile when pressed.Who is--or was--T.F.? Why is Aster so hostile about this box?

Thistle-whisperer.

Prerequisite: DM me if you want to see Aster & Thistle together.The firm hand of Aster's twin sister, Thistle, often times seems to be the only thing that has an immediate effect on course correcting Aster's behavior. And of course, he seems to be the only person who can make her make rash decisions. Or, as he calls it 'getting her to let her hair down and have some fun.'The two of them, often apart, are beyond devoted to each other and are likely to drop whatever (or whoever) they are doing, if the other comes calling. Still, it's a little weird, how Thistle's words are more effective than any other threat or bribe, even if they are twins. Doesn't he have any friends?Have you been jilted by Aster because his sister came calling? Again, he's not sorry, he'll do it again. Was it annoying? Funny? Are you trying trying to reconnect after you two were interrupted? Whether it's to sell him something, finish a conversation, or get into his pants--are you upset that he didn't hesitate to drop you for her?

Alec Hooper is an alias that Aster very rarely uses these days, and then, only to shed the responsibility of being the person he is, and to socialize with a different kind of person than he usually gets to. Specifically Alec Hooper is known for being polite and respectful, and is intellectually curious, even if he does drink a bit too much. 99.9999% of people cannot definitively make the connection between Aster and Alec IC.If you met Alec once, it may be hard to find him again.
